Soil isn’t just ground—it’s archive.

Dirt holds everything: from the caskets to the seeds. Dirt Poetry is Benjamin Jackson’s excavation of that living archive. Jackson’s first collection doesn’t polish what it finds—it intimately stains readers with memory, faith, grief, and love.

Benjamin Jackson's Premier Collection.

Meet Ben

Benjamin Jackson is a poet from Uniontown, Alabama, whose work is rooted in the power of personal voice, cultural memory, and Southern life.

His background in sociology shapes the way he tells stories—examining the ties between people, place, and history. After earning his degree from the University of Montevallo, Benjamin began working with nonprofits to support Black entrepreneurs in Birmingham and improve quality of life across Alabama’s Black Belt.
